How To Use This With A Patient

This simulator gives patients a safe, fictional banking space to practice online banking skills before returning to a real account. Start with the level that matches the patient's current support needs, then increase difficulty as accuracy, confidence, and independence improve.

1. Set The Task

Ask the patient to sign in, locate checking information, review recent activity, or find where a feature lives.

2. Model The Process

Demonstrate scanning the page, reading labels, using menus, and checking information before moving on.

3. Fade Cues

Begin with verbal or visual prompts, then reduce help so the patient practices problem-solving independently.

4. Grade The Challenge

Use Easy for direct support, Medium for more choices, Hard for hidden details, and Realistic for distractions.

5. Practice Safety

Discuss privacy, passwords, suspicious pop-ups, double-checking numbers, and asking for help before real payments.

6. Debrief

Review what went well, where the patient got stuck, and which strategy they can use next time.
