Using This With A Patient

This simulator gives patients a safe, fictional credit-card banking space to practice payment decisions, account review, and online financial safety before returning to a real account. Start with the support level that matches the patient's current needs, then increase difficulty as accuracy, confidence, and independence improve.

1. Set The Task

Ask the patient to sign in, choose full balance or minimum payment, schedule payment before the due date, and review recent activity.

2. Model The Process

Demonstrate scanning the dashboard, comparing balances, reading labels, and checking numbers before submitting.

3. Fade Cues

Begin with direct prompts or visible references, then reduce help so the patient practices sequencing and problem-solving.

4. Grade The Challenge

Use Easy for built-in support, Medium for reference use, Hard for duplicate-charge review, and Realistic for higher distraction.

5. Practice Safety

Discuss fake versus real banking sites, protecting passwords, checking suspicious charges, and asking for help before paying.
